How To Apply

Bachelor’s graduates are encouraged to apply as soon as the final transcripts indicating the graduation cumulative GPA are issued by the university. Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi highly recommends prospective graduates do not wait until the admission deadline approaches, as its programmes have limited capacity in terms of maximum number of admitted students per programme. 


Applicants are welcome to apply for Master’s programmes online at  Apply Now.  All necessary information must be completed, and the required documents must be attached to the application. Please ensure that you complete the application, pay the application fee, and submit it, as incomplete applications will not be processed.  


A non-refundable application fee of 300 AED applies prior to processing any application. Prospective students may also visit the campus to meet with an Admissions Officer for assistance with the online application process and to explore the facilities. Alternatively, enquiries can be sent to admissions@sorbone.apps.plana.ae . You may also use the 360 Virtual Tour to discover the campus. 

Documents Required for Postgraduate Programmes

The following documents are required to complete an online application: 

  1. Personal statement 
  2. Detailed resume (CV) 
  3. Passport copy for UAE nationals:
    • Passport copy along with Ethbarah and unified number page
    • Emirates ID both sides
    • Copy of family book 

    For international students (UAE residents):

    • UAE Visa copy
    • Emirates ID both sides 

    For applicants residing outside UAE: 

    • Passport copy
    • Coloured passport photo
    • International medical insurance valid in UAE
    • Fill up the personal information form
    • Student visa FAQ 
  4. A recognied Bachelor’s degree earned in a discipline appropriate for the prospective graduate degree, with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its established equivalent. 
  5. Undergraduate (Bachelor) transcript 
  6. High School Diploma/ Certificate 
  7. Language Proficiency Test for programmes taught in English and French.  
    • A minimum score of 1400 on the English language portion of the EmSAT examination. 
    • TOEFL score of 550 (213 CBT, 79 iBT) 
    • 6.0 IELTS academic (English programmes) 
    • DELF/ TCF Level B2 (For the Master in Teaching French as Foreign Language) 
  8. Experience letter (3 to 5 years of related experience for Master in Marketing, Communication and Media, and Master in Urban Planning and Development). 

Attestation

All applicants are required to attest their high school final certificates and transcripts. Conditional admission may be granted to selected applicants who are in the process of obtaining their attested documents.The documents must be submitted within the first semester of enrolment. 

Equivalency

Equivalency is required for applicants who earned their undergraduate or postgraduate degrees from universities outside the UAE, as well as from for universities within the UAE listed on the CAA website

Conditional admission may be granted to selected applicants who are unable to provide the equivalency document at the time of application. Students must submit their equivalency certificate before the end of the first semester of enrolment.
