Bio
Dr. Billel Ferhani is an Assistant Professor in Management and Organizational Behavior at Sorbonne University of Abu Dhabi and a researcher specializing in ethical leadership, business ethics, and corporate social responsibility (CSR). His research explores how ethical leadership influences workplace behavior and decision-making in an era of digital transformation and artificial intelligence. His expertise extends to organizational behavior, responsible leadership, and decision-making under ethical dilemmas.
Billel holds a PhD in Management Sciences from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, where he conducted pioneering research on ethical leadership and unethical workplace behavior. His work employs both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, including meta-analytical techniques, experimental research designs, and structural equation modeling (AMOS, R, MPLUS).
He has presented at leading international conferences, including the British Academy of Management (BAM), European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS), and the Association Francophone de Gestion des Ressources Humaines (AGRH). His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters on sensitive workplace issues and ethical decision-making.
Beyond academia, Billel has designed and taught courses in business ethics, leadership, human resource management, organizational behavior, and statistical analysis for management, in both English and French. He also supervises master's theses and research projects, helping students develop critical perspectives on ethics, leadership, and corporate governance.
Billel has also contributed to academic administration, serving as a Pedagogical Coordinator for master’s programs at the Sorbonne School of Management. He has been actively involved in academic peer review for leading management conferences and journals, such as the Academy of Management, Society for Business Ethics, and Journal of Business Ethics.
In addition to his academic achievements, Billel has a strong methodological background in data analysis, including meta-analysis, text analysis (NLP, Structural Topic Modeling), and experimental research. His interdisciplinary approach connects behavioral sciences, management research, and corporate ethics, making his contributions valuable to both academia and the corporate world
