Bio
Dr. Christopoulos is an Applied Physicist engaged in various research topics for over twenty years. As an experimentalist, he has worked on the areas of Solid State Quantum Photonics, Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics (AMO) and Material Physics, in teams of prominent research institutions, including the University of Cambridge (PhD), the Institute of Applied Physics at the University of Bonn (Senior Scientist) and Cyprus University of Technology (Senior Researcher).
He has supervised six master’s theses, one doctoral thesis (and supervises another one currently) and more than twenty undergraduate theses and projects. His pioneering research work, especially in polaritonics [1,2] has been extensively featured in Nature [3], and has already garnered more than 2100 citations from subsequent papers.
Dr. Christopoulos has served on the editorial board for two journals and contributes as a technical reviewer for journals and conference proceedings in his fields of expertise. He is a member of IoP and APS. He currently leads and participates in research projects with local and international faculty, including T.I.I (UAE), Sorbonne Université and University of Littoral Opal Coast (France), the University of Jordan (Jordan) and the American University of Cairo (Egypt).
