الوصف
Join us for a compelling talk by Marie-Hélène Baylac as we explore Louise Michel, a Life of Revolt.
Born to a domestic worker and raised as a young lady, Louise Michel defied the expectations of her time to become a schoolteacher, revolutionary, and one of the most powerful voices of the Paris Commune of 1871. From taking up arms in the uprising to enduring deportation to New Caledonia, her life was marked by an unwavering fight for justice and freedom.
This talk sheds light on the journey of a woman who, until her final days, remained true to her vow: “If you let me live, I will never stop crying for vengeance.” A powerful reflection on revolt, resilience, and the pursuit of a more just society.
