Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi is committed to advancing and disseminating knowledge and understanding. The university considers academic freedom crucial for achieving these objectives and supports the freedom of inquiry. It ensures that academic can responsibly pursue teaching, learning, research, discussion, and publication in the conditions of independence and serenity that are essential for reflection and intellectual creation. In pursuit of these goals:
• Academics share the responsibility of fostering an environment where academic freedom thrives, respecting the rights of each member of the academic community.
• Academics have the right to full freedom in research and publishing results. Research and publication for financial gain, following international standards, require prior agreement with SUAD.
• As far as they respect UAE Laws and Customs, the Code of Conduct of the University and the French Education Code, teacher-researchers, teachers, and researchers have a full independence and freedom of expression in both their teaching and research activities.
• All members of the SUAD community are expected to adhere to the highest standards of academic objectivity, tolerance fairness, integrity, honesty, and truthfulness, refraining from engaging in acts of academic dishonesty, falsification, or deception.
