Daad Al Naser is an Associate Professor of Arabic Rhetoric and Criticism at the United Arab Emirates University. She has previously taught at universities in Jordan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Her research interests include cultural criticism and epistemological archaeology, which uncover the hidden masks of both official and popular literature. She has explored themes such as the literature of folly, parasitism, and madness, publishing dozens of papers and participating in several related conferences. She is also a creative writer, authoring numerous short stories and children’s stories in written, audio, and digital forms. As a novelist, she won the Islamic Literary Association Award for her novel Camp, My Homeland (Mukhayyam Ya Watan), which deals with the experience of Palestinian exile.
