Date: Wednesday 9 April - 3 May 2025 Opening Ceremony: Wednesday 9 April Time: 6 pm Venue:Atrium, SUAD Campus Open to public Abstract The exhibition, " Threads of Heritage: Emirati Women’s Traditional Fashion and Jewelry," offers visitors an in-depth exploration of the cultural significance, artistic evolution, and historical backdrop of traditional Emirati attire. By weaving together archaeological discoveries, historical documents, and poetic narratives, this exhibition creates a multi-dimensional chronological journey. It highlights the intricate connections between the UAE's material culture, literature, and identity, presenting an immersive and thought-provoking experience. Exhibition Components : Chronological Display The exhibition is organized chronologically, with distinct sections dedicated to various historical periods, ranging from antiquity to the modern era. Each section showcases a curated selection of traditional garments alongside archaeological artifacts, historical records, poetry, and literary excerpts. Visitors will embark on a journey through time, exploring the cultural context and historical development of Emirati clothing and adornments. Archaeological Insights In collaboration with archaeologists and heritage experts, the exhibition incorporates archaeological findings related to traditional Emirati jewelry.
