Description
Published in 1959, this absurdist play by the celebrated French polymath Boris Vian follows a family compelled to move upward through the floors of a mysterious building. With each relocation, their living space becomes progressively smaller, while every apartment is occupied by an enigmatic, silent presence known as the Schmurtz. Blending dark humor with incisive social commentary, the play portrays a family grappling with identity, fear, and their shifting sense of reality in the aftermath of war.
Brought to life by SUAD students, this performance highlights the play's rich themes with creativity, energy, and a fresh theatrical interpretation.
French and English subtitles will be displayed.
