Description
Tenured Professor at the Université Paris Cité, Caroline Kleiner lectures banking law, private international law, international financing and international trade law. She is the director of the Master program in Business law, Banking, Finance and Fintechs and is the co-director of the same program in Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. As a member of the "Haut Comité Juridique de la Place financière de Paris", she is involved in discussions on banking and financial legislation. She is also active in international bodies, such as Unidroit, which has appointed her as expert member of the working group on the legal regime for carbon credits, and The Hague Conference for Private International Law, where she’s a member of the French delegation for three working groups, on digital tokens, central bank digital currencies, and carbon credits. Her research focuses on international monetary and banking law, and international commercial arbitration. Among other numerous publications, she is the author of an annual column on international banking law and international financial law in the Revue de droit bancaire et financier, provides an annual commentary on Book I of the French Monetary and Financial Code, and is Scientific Director of the LexisNexis Jurisclasseur de droit bancaire et financier (Encyclopaedia of banking and financial law). She acts a legal consultant and arbitrator.
