The final semester is dedicated to professional immersion through an internship and the completion of a research-based Master's thesis addressing a real-world AI or innovation challenge.

Assessment is designed to foster continuous learning and the practical application of knowledge throughout the programme. Students are evaluated through a combination of individual and group assignments, case studies, presentations, applied projects, research reports, and written examinations, ensuring the progressive development of analytical, strategic, and leadership skills.

The programme places a strong emphasis on experiential learning, with industry-oriented projects enabling students to address real-world challenges in Artificial Intelligence, innovation, and digital transformation. Continuous assessment is complemented by regular feedback from faculty to support academic and professional growth.

To graduate, students must successfully complete 120 ECTS credits over four semesters, including all taught modules, a professional internship, and a research-based Master's thesis addressing a contemporary challenge in Artificial Intelligence or innovation management. The programme culminates in the oral defence of the Master's thesis, demonstrating students' ability to integrate academic knowledge with practical and research expertise.

Master in Management of Innovation and Artificial Intelligence (MIAI)

Admission to the Master in Management of Innovation and Artificial Intelligence (MIAI) is based on academic achievement, motivation, and the applicant's potential to succeed in an interdisciplinary, internationally recognised Master's programme.

Academic Requirements

Admission to the MIAI programme requires a recognized bachelor’s degree (L3 or equivalent) in one of the following disciplines:

• Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering

• Law, Management, Economics, or Health Sciences

• Equivalent qualifications demonstrating readiness for master’s-level study, (minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience).

A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 (or equivalent, or with minimum of 2nd class honours or an average of 12 out of 20) is expected.

For applicants having received a bachelor’s degree below is the required score:

• Bachelor students with a GPA between 2.5 until 2.9 (or equivalent scores as per the equivalency table) may be conditionally admitted under probation during the first semester. The student will be authorized to continue in the program only if they secure an average of at least 12 out of 20 which is obtained by the end of the first semester. The decision is based on academic performance and will be made official after the completion of the first semester.

• Bachelor students with a GPA below 3 may be admitted on the ground of their professional and/or personal experience, in case they are granted a VAPP by SU’s or UP’s VAPP commission

English Language Requirements

As the programme is delivered in English, applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following:

• Valid academic IELTS certificate with minimum overall band of 6.0 with a validity of 2 years, or

• TOEFL certificate with minimum score of 79 (or equivalent) with a validity of 2 years, or

• Native English speaker who completed three full years in an English-medium institution within a maximum period of three years, or

• Equivalent

Selection Process

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to:

• Submit a Statement of Purpose

• Complete a Technical Placement Test (to assess readiness and identify any required bridging modules)

• Attend an admissions interview evaluating motivation, academic preparedness, critical thinking, and communication skills.

• Direct entry to M2 for applicants who already hold a relevant Master's degree, following approval by Sorbonne Université.

Applicant degree from outside UAE

Applicants who obtained their undergraduate degrees from universities outside the UAE should present a Certificate of Equivalency for their graduation certificates from the UAE Ministry of Education.

Applicant degree within UAE

Degree Applicants with degrees from licensed higher education institutions in the UAE are required to submit an attested copy of their degree from the UAE Ministry of Education. For more details, kindly visit the Ministry’s website.
