Bio

Tarin Mont'Alverne is an associate professor at the Faculty of Law at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), specializing in Public International Law and the Law of the Sea. She has served as Coordinator from 2016 to 2019 and Deputy Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Law at UFC from 2012 to 2016, where she currently leads the Research Group on Law and International Affairs (GEDAI) and the Research Project on the Law of the Sea.

She holds a Ph.D. in International Environmental Law from Université Paris Cité and the University of São Paulo, and a Master’s degree in Public International Law from Université Paris Descartes. Her academic experience includes postdoctoral research at UFC and visiting professorships at Université Paris Cité, Université Paris-Saclay, and Université La Rochelle.

Her work lies at the intersection of international law, environmental governance, and maritime regulation, advancing research and teaching in the field of global ocean governance and international environmental law.
