2022 Delivered a webinar on the theme, “The Exiled Liberian TRC Archives and Their Role in Promoting a Democratic and Reconciled Society” to the staff at the Folke Bernadotte Academy, the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sida and the Dialogue and Mediation Programme that focuses on the Liberia Strategy, on the 8th December.

2024 Participated in the 2nd International Conference on Advancing Sustainable Futures ICASF 2024 with an article entitled, “Greening Information Management for Sustainable Development: The case of Sweden organized by Abu Dhabi University at Ritz Carlton, Khor Al Maqta'a, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
2024 Participated in the 34th regular International Archives Day conference and the 18th International Archives Autumn School and co-presented a paper entitled, “The Use of Language Models (LLMs) in the Public Sector and The Impact on Public Records: A Case of Sweden and Croatia with Prof. Sanja Seljan. The conference was organized by Alma Mater Europaea University, Maribor, Slovenia, November 25th to 30th.
2024 Participated in the Digital Archiving Conference in the Arab World, that took place both at the National Library and Archives of the UAE and Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi on the 29th – 30th October.
Participated and presented work from a study that I am leading under the auspices of InterPARES AI Trust, titled “Investigating the Use of AI technologies in the Realm of E-Government Development” where I am collaborating with colleagues from the University of South Africa, Tampere University, Finland, Umea University, Sweden. The study was titled, “Automated decision making and the challenges of managing public records”, InterPARES Plenary, Denver, Colorado at Hyatt Place on the 22nd to the 25th October.
2024 Presenter at the Archival Education Research Institute (AERI), Sorbonne University, 7- 11 October. Presented a paper co-authored with Prof. Sanja Selja of University of Zagreb, Humanities and Social Sciences, Information Sciences on “Use of Language Models (LLMs) in Public Sector and Impact on Public Records.”

Organized a workshop in collaboration with the National Library and Archives of theUnited Arab Emirates entitled “Greening Information Management for Sustainable Development” where I presented the case of Sweden and my colleagues at the History Department presented case studies from Zimbabwe, UAE and Kenya. This was on the 16th of November and the target audience was the government ministries of the UAE.
I conceived and co-organized an international and virtual conference on Truth Commissions: Issues of Access and Ownership, October, 24 -25. The co-organizers included: myself, (Dr. Proscovia Svärd – Sorbonne University, Abu Dhabi), Dr. Bonny Ibhawoh – McMaster University, Canada, Mr. Raymond Frogner – National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation, Canada, Dr. Melike Yilmaz – McMaster University, Canada, Dr. Cyril Obi - Social Science Research Council, USA and Ms. Razia Saleh - Nelson Mandela Foundation, South Africa
Conceived and co-organized a workshop on the theme “Maintaining the Facts Infrastructure in the Era of Post-Truth Politics”, The Swedish National Heritage Board, 19-20 September (This was a collaboration between Södertörn University College and the Swedish National Heritage Board).

2020 Participated in the he 32nd annual workshop of the Swedish Artificial Intelligence Society (SAIS) will be held as an online conference on June 16 – 17, 2020 together with Dr. Esteban Guerrero and presented a paper on “Towards a personalization of privacy preservation: AI democratizes Swedish open data” written by Esteban Guerrero, Proscovia Svärd and Lili Jiang (Dr. Guerrero and Associate Professor Jiang are from Umeå University.
2019 Participated in the International Council on Archives Conference “Designing the Archive” in Adelaide, South Australia, from 21 to 25 October 2019 where I made a presentation on the “The Exiled Truth and Reconciliation Commission Documentation: The Case of Liberia” during the session on “On the path to truth and reconciliation: experiences in Canada, Liberia and New Zealand. I also participated in the panel on “Designing a Trauma-informed Archive.
I on the 25th October participated in the ICA Indigenous Matters Summit at the Tandanya Institute for the Aboriginal people entitled, “Challenging and Decolonising the Archive”, organized by the ICA Expert Group on Indigenous Matters.
