Bio

Salwa Almaiman is Graduate of the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (Inalco) in modern and contemporary Arabic literature, and assistant professor at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, in the French language and translation department. She has published various articles in French journals and participated in several national and international conferences. Her research focuses primarily on the evolution of the modern and contemporary Saudi novel and its significance in the literary field. She is also interested in imaginative literature, particularly science fiction and fantasy novels, and more recently in the translation of Saudi works into French and their reception.
