Sustainable Procurement
SUAD’s commitment to sustainable procurement is reflected in the university's contractual agreements with all service providers and contractors, which have been recently reviewed to adhere to the university's sustainability standards.
This includes:
- Compliance with Regulations: Suppliers must meet all legal and regulatory requirements related to health, safety, environment, and sustainability specific to their industry and scope of services.
- Environmental Responsibility: Contractors are expected to use resources efficiently, assess and reduce the environmental impact of their products and services across their entire lifecycle, and commit to sustainable growth.
- Supplier and Subcontractor Selection: All service providers must have systems in place to evaluate and choose their suppliers and subcontractors based on social and environmental accountability.
Qualified and Informed Staff: Personnel assigned to SUAD must be qualified and fully aware of the university's sustainability initiatives and environmental standards.
